To me, this seems unprecedented. There is a company offering to provide a full 6 months of coverage for you, at zero cost to you, if you are a Singaporean or Singapore PR between the age of 30 to 40. Yes, I was totally skeptical when I first heard this and made sure I read the fine print (I encourage you to do so as well), and also asked a gazillion questions.

Yup, the company offering this generous 6-month programme at zero cost is Aviva and yes, under its Disability Support Programme, it is offering 6 months of free coverage from 8 January 2020 to 30 June 2020 for Singaporeans and PRs who are between 30 to 40 years old. It’s COMPLIMENTARY! And no payment is required at all! You will not be asked to input any credit card details!
Why would Aviva do this? That’s the same question I asked when TPG offered a year’s worth of free data plus a sim card if you simply registered with them (while other telcos are happy to charge you the minute you exceed your data allowance for the month).
I would like to hazard a guess: (1) You have to currently be in good health. Yes, be honest in your declaration. (2) There’s little risk to Aviva as people in this age group (of 30 to 40) are generally more mature, have started their families and have young kids at home, and are therefore unlikely to engage in high-risk activities (like bungee-jumping or sky-diving OMG) which could potentially result in disability in the event of an accident. Also we’re ‘young’ enough to, usually, not end up with age-related debilitating illnesses while still in this age bracket. (3) It generates goodwill while ensuring it’s still a calculated risk for the company. It’s just 6 months, and not 12 or 24 months. And yes, people like myself would be very appreciative indeed. Also, for everyone successfully enrolled into this Programme, Aviva is capping its liability to $2 million. (4) After the period of 6 months, we may also want to purchase the Careshield Life Supplement from Aviva. And the company will have a sudden influx of happy and grateful customers.
So it’s a win-win situation.

Open that email and take a screenshot of the Registration Form attached.
