We had dinner at Takagi Ramen in Simei yesterday and were quite happy that the place wasn’t too crowded, even on a Saturday evening. We’ll probably visit again during the weekends. You get to enjoy a meal of delicious ramen, and then score some freebies from the Try Leh vending machine nearby too! XD We wanted to get the muscle rub freebie ‘cos someone strained some muscles doing sit-up variations but there was some issue with the coil so what was available were the free condoms (muahaha!) and Ribena (bottled!) LOL. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl of Black Tonkotsu with added Ajitama (egg). My darling had mistakenly thought his Awabi Shoyu Ramen featured some kind of fish (?!) with the ramen. Turns out Awabi is the (mock) abalone! Wahahaaaa. And the broth is rather *erm* clear and bland as compared to mine.

As this was my first cup of bubble tea from Takagi Ramen, it wasn’t a great choice, I think. I’d chosen the Milk Oolong Tea with Sakura Pearls and 0% sugar. It did not taste very much of oolong and the milk used seem to be so-so. The pearls were good, yes. I think I’ll try their yuzu drink next time. I’ll leave milk teas to the experts like Playmade (just had their Taiwan Milk Tea today – so good!)
Anyway, our meal at Takagi Ramen cost $23.10 – very worth it. We ate till we were stuffed as there’s a complimentary serving of (extra) noodles that you can request for if you order any bowl of ramen. So we got our carb overdose yesterday. Ha! Ordering food here is quick and easy: just use any one of the self-ordering kiosks outside. Then collect your food when your number is displayed on the screen.
Takagi Ramen is located at #01-31 of Eastpoint Mall (entrance to Takagi Ramen is outside the mall)
