With a newborn at home, I’m not spending time in supermarkets picking out fresh fruit (an activity I used to enjoy). I’ll just hit the mall(s), dabao our meals and quickly head back home. So a service like Qingo’s is much appreciated. Just spend $59 and get next day (free) delivery. Besides fruit, there’s also everything from seafood to snacks! I received a bundle of fruit from them recently, including the lesser-known Pepino and the Hawthorn fruit (we’re more familiar with haw flakes, eh?) which I don’t usually see in supermarkets I frequent.

I LOVED haw flakes as a kid so it’s nice to finally try the fruit it’s made from at the ripe old age of… never mind… you’re never too old to try something new. The fruit was surprisingly small, bright red and tastes nothing like the flakes! LOL. And the pepino is apparently really good for your health (go Google it then get some over at Qingo.com.sg!)
Everything sent to me was really fresh, so consider me impressed. I like the apples the most – so crunchy and juicy!
Once I’m done with this bundle, some other items I’d like to try would be:
- Taiwan Mango Pineapple ($6.50)
- Thailand Longan ($1.90 / 500g)
- Lychee Shrimp Balls ($7.50/200g) <- how cool is that?!
And since it’s Christmas today… MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I bought this Classic Carrot Cake from POLAR. That mint green frosting is amazeballs! Absolutely delish. You have to try this! Love the fruit on top as well. The orange berry with leaves is the gooseberry.
Let’s just say I’m enjoying a good variety of fruit this season. Muahaha!
