Had a really fun experience creating my own bubble tea at Create By The Alley at Tampines 1 last week! The drink I chose was the Brown Sugar Deerioca Fresh Milk, and I enjoyed doing the brown sugar swirl (you should try it too!) 
This new concept is definitely a refreshing one because instead of just ordering your favourite The Alley beverage and drinking it while on-the-go, now you get to sit and savour, add a lot of pearls (or not), and ‘spill the tea’ with friends and family. With our hectic lifestyles, we’d usually down bubble tea while being distracted by something else (such as work) and we don’t really take the time to appreciate what’s in the drink, do we? Create By The Alley is set to change that. And I wouldn’t be surprised if other brands start doing the same. ‘Cos bubble tea is wayyy more fun when you’re the one making it!
And the Law of Attraction has been at work as well. I started following DCHTOONS on instagram recently, and lo and behold… Dylan himself was at Create to give a talk! This young man (20-years-old!) makes really cute stickers and is quite the entrepreneur. His stickers are being sold at some of The Alley’s outlets (kudos to them for supporting local artists!) and I got some to decorate a tumbler from the brand!
It’s very inspiring to see how Dylan is forging his own (unconventional) path and exceling at it, even having to rope in his family members to help with massive orders of stickers!
I got to decorate a The Alley tumbler with Dylan’s stickers which are waterproof and can be removed without leaving any sticky residue(!) Isn’t this cool? Imagine going for a ‘Make-Your-Own-Boba’ session then crafting your own The Alley drink with the boba you’ve made, and then decorating a tumbler with Dchtoons stickers, and taking the whole thing home? Friends and colleagues will be so envious so just bring them all along, won’t you?
This is perfect for parent-child bonding too. The soft serve is a little too sweet for my liking but will certainly satisfy those with a sweet tooth, and I know Melody is gonna love the blueberries as well. XD
