Previously, I blogged about ordering dinner after seeing the same ad repeatedly on Facebook. Now this purchase is also due to a FB ad I spotted. But it is such a good deal that I don’t need to see the ad more than once before I take action! 
CCL IMPEX is offering a $9.90 Mother’s Day Bundle that includes 10 kinds of vegetables, for a limited period only. And I’ve read that you can simply pick another add-on and score free delivery! As for me, I made the kiasu decision to get 2 of these bundles plus an additional 4 veggies. In total, I paid $24.80 (via PayNow) to the company, and of course, I got these delivered for free.
These are the 4 other items I ordered:

You don’t have to tell me “SO CHEAP!” ‘cos… I already know! XD
And guess what… Law of Attraction or something… I’ve read about the Ice Plant previously when I was taking part in an unrelated Facebook contest. It sounded so cool to me. Never heard of Ice Plants before. And in CCL IMPEX’s $9.90 Mother’s Day Bundle… there is *drumroll* the ice plant!
I haven’t decided what I’ll do with these. Salads, maybe?
And I’ll be terribly honest with you, the bundle is super duper cheap, yes. And I knew that asparagus is NOT cheap. So I was surprised they included it in the $9.90 bundle. However, the asparagus sent to me was rotten. One pack was more decayed than the other. And the smell was quite bad. I do not think it was squashed during delivery and ended up looking and smelling like this. It probably began rotting some time back in order to work up such a stench:
Even if I throw out the asparagus, the bundle is still a steal, I know. And luckily, the company is very prompt with replies. They responded to my Whatsapp messages really fast. And someone from the company also called me almost immediately.
I’m in the process of getting a refund for the asparagus (they offered). It’s really decent of them.
Anyhow, here’s a pic taken while I was preparing dinner, dropped the veggies into a pot and found the delightful riot of color worthy of a quick snap:
There’s potato, carrot, corn, tomato, brinjal, and french bean.
Though delivery was said to be between 10am and 7pm, I’m glad the guy came by before 4.30pm so I had time to prep the veggies for dinner.
