We dabao-ed an early dinner today from Waterway Point. Sushi Express has National Day specials which are worth grabbing. There are three $20 platters to choose from: Assorted Platter, Polar Bear Platter (which is my favorite, pictured above) and Aburi Sushi Platter. Get any one of these platters and you can add on a second platter for just $15 or pay $8 and get two sets of salmon sashimi (total of 20 slices) and two bowls of miso soup. (We went with the $8 add-on deal). I like the Polar Bear Platter because it consists of solely salmon sushi, with none of that crabstick or tamago sushi which I dislike. LOL!
And the miso soup looks boring, ya? BUT it contains pieces of salmon, tofu cubes, and is not at all salty so you can drink it all! For just $28, we had a really decent meal for two. Although we can’t travel to Japan now, no matter how much we miss visiting the country, we can still enjoy good sushi.

Tim Ho Wan is located a few steps away so we ordered two items to share with family members. I wanted to try the wonton, in particular.

The portions are really small. Go ahead and order these items for kids or ladies on a diet. If you’re male, and with a healthy appetite, take my advice and order two mains. LOL.
I really like the plump wontons but the noodles aren’t very good. They are incredibly thin, like thread, and when you’re biting down on them, you just might end up biting your own tongue. LOL.

Tim Ho Wan staff appear to be quite particular about the vaccination status criteria. So make sure you show them your TT app. An auntie wanted to try her luck and see if she could wing it with just showing she had a TT token which says nothing, of course, about her vaccination status.
I wanted to order their steamed sponge cake but it was sold out today. Sigh. I’ll be back.
