Dee's talk 徐妈

This episode is about a regular day in Dee’s life. She visits a stall she loves getting takeaway from, goes for dance practice, and has a meal with her mother (and two guests pop by too).

I’m a big fan of ‘mianxian’ from Taipei. So I was really curious about which stall Dee supposedly gets her mianxian from, especially since she was raving about it.

So the stall in question is called ‘大狗麵線’ which means something like ‘Big Dog Noodles’ in English. 😀 Prices are affordable though, according to the in-store posters: NT45 for a small bowl of noodles or NT60 for a large one. I really, really miss Taiwan!

Interestingly, the boss of 大狗麵線 shows up in a suit and tie! XD

After the meal, Dee and her dance instructor head to their dance studio for a session of ‘Jazz Funk’. The latter’s great at dancing in high heels. Truly amazeballs.

The highlight of this episode is obviously the dinner with Dee’s Mother: 徐妈 / 黄春梅. She’s not spared the awkward questions too. One of which happened to be: “Would you prefer a boring young dude or a humorous older man?” Then whaddyaknow… a young man (probably boring since very quiet) and an older comedian everyone knows walk right in…

The younger dude says he is 32 years old and 185cm tall. He brought (Brand A) truffle chips as gifts but I suppose he was invited for the sole purpose of showing off his abs and nipples! LOL 😀 The humorous older man is 小鐘.

I think this episode really ends on a high. You can’t go wrong with inviting funnyman 小鐘.

It would definitely be a treat to have Barbie Hsu appear on the show as a guest in future. She’s also one of the producers of Dee’s Talk… so I suppose there’s a high chance of this happening? 😉 Now… if only Dee will ask Barbie the tough questions too… 😉
