Popped by Chinatown two days ago for frog leg porridge and also to get some bak kwa from Lim Chee Guan for Mom – she’s been such a great help with the newborn! And unlike the period leading up to Chinese New Year, there’s no queue at Lim Chee Guan. There’ll probably be one other customer in the shop when you visit but that’s about it. How nice! 
We purchased the BBQ Chili Pork that Mom likes. It’s being sold at $19.20 for 300g and $32 for 500g. There’s no discount even if you buy more. It’s $64 per kg. 
As for their Signature Sliced Pork, it’s slightly cheaper:
Besides pork, did you know that Lim Chee Guan sells BBQ Chicken, PRAWN, FISH and BEEF too?! Interestingly, they are priced the same as the Signature Sliced Pork so… would you try/buy? MAYBE I’ll try the chicken / beef but the BBQ Prawn and Fish in this ‘flattened’ squarish format just seems weird to me. Not how I like savoring barbecued prawns and fish! Ha!
If you have a bak kwa craving, go ahead and purchase some before CNY. I’m not sure the price increases will be easy to swallow. What with inflation and GST going up… really BBQ liao. XD
