Been following Bonheur Patisserie on social media so when I saw their stories about their themed macaron boxes, I decided to order the Japanese-inspired box and then do self-pickup at their bakeshop as it’s not too far from home. When we were there, we also spotted the macarons they’d customised for other customers. As you can see above, there are tiger macarons which are super adorable! We also spotted Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, etc. And in the picture below, you’ll find the Japanese-inspired macarons I’d ordered. They’d run out of ichigo (strawberry) so I opted for 2 x “Tokyo” banana. The other flavours include Genmaicha, Cafe au lait, miso caramel, sakura, yuzu, goma (sesame), maple rum raisins, and matcha!

I love the “Tokyo” Banana, Matcha, Genmaicha and Sakura! I was amazed at how there really was a raisin inside the Maple Rum Raisin macaron! Haha! I did find the Yuzu too sour though. And for someone like me who drinks tea and not coffee, the cafe au lait was more than acceptable – it’s actually pretty good! The miso caramel macaron messes with your mind and tastebuds though! LOL.
There’s also a Botanical Box with flavours like Masala Chai, Tieguanyin and Peppercorn Dark Choc. There’s an M18 (Alcoholic) Box too, with Baileys, Martell VSOP, etc. Go check them out on FB / IG.
The baker is Chef Lin Weixian. From behind the counter, he looks like a yandao young man who could be an architect or your Econs teaching assistant at Uni. XD He’s friendly too but don’t think that means you can request for a fatcaron (a super-sized macaron) or sell him artificial flavourings for his creations!
This display… has real macaron shells but fake fillings. So please don’t pick one up to eat…

This is one of the most poorly-maintained lifts I’ve ever seen in Singapore. The erm… carpeting is way too big for the space, torn in places, and seems to have been dumped right there. Try not to trip.
Anyway… head to the Basement and turn right and you’ll see this brightly-lit space which is where Chef Weixian and his team work their magic…

Unlike at their previous place at The Grandstand (some 4 years ago?), this isn’t a retail space so don’t expect to just swing by and select some macarons. You’d have to order in advance then come pick them up or opt for delivery.
It’s SO convenient to get here. There’s a busstop right outside Spazio @ Kovan. Here’s a picture I took which shows you the buses which come by…

Chef says they’re moving out to Farrer Park (?) sometime in the 3rd week of June. So if you wish to pop by their Kovan base, head over ASAP!
