We visited The Woodleigh Mall last week and found it to be a pretty decent place for families. Pop by in the afternoon on weekdays and it’s not too crowded. A baby-friendly mall too. We had lunch at Bulgogi Syo today – the highlight of their lunch promo is FREE FLOW BANCHAN! <- Available only on weekdays. And Melody was with us… so that meant only one of us would be eating at any one time. Hahaha. In this picture, it looks like she’s pinching his right ear, while he’s trying to restrain her dominant right hand. Ahahaha! I do always tell him to suck it up because (1) she’s only a baby and (2) he’s the one who wanted a baby. XD XD XD

The sets start from $12.90 -> those rice and noodle items at the bottom of the banner. I’d say skip them and order the pricier sets which are served on the hot plates.

He picked the Kimchi Pork Ramyeon which is basically instant noodles you can cook at home yourself. XD The only thing I liked about this dish is the sweet onions!

I ordered the Don Jju Jju (pork belly + squid + bean sprouts). It’s just $4 more but wayyyy more worth it. And it comes with rice and egg too!

All the sets come with seaweed soup (staff may forget to serve this, so do ask), your choice of 1 drink (Pepsi / Sprite / Iced Lemon Tea – all not refillable) and free flow banchan. There’s kimchi, pickled radish, cherry tomatoes and that anemic-looking macaroni (in a cream sauce, I think. It’s not your usual mac n cheese)

And the pillars in this restaurant always look like they’re on fire. Sure kept Melody occupied for a while. Haha! I think those video walls are certainly attention-grabbing.

Bulgogi Syo also has QR codes at each table that you can scan to leave them a Google review, then claim free ice cream! Today, there was Chocolate, Vanilla and Coconut. So I picked coconut, of course! Very refreshing end to the meal. Highly recommended!
Today’s meal cost $35.40!
Last week, we ate at Veganburg. Do not be put off by the thought that it’s fast food for vegans. The food here is a lot better than many other (regular) fast food outlets. I picked the Teriyaki Burg Meal which I remember trying (and liking) a long time ago. And my darling chose the Chilli Krab Meal. We had seaweed fries (served hot – so yummy) and I had Old School Lemonade (great choice!) while he had Ginger Lemonade (and regretted).

And at B1-03 of Woodleigh Mall is No.17 Tea… a very pretty bubble tea cafe with a ball pit for kids to play in. Last week, there were two sisters playing in the ball pit, and they were evidently much, much older than Melody. I thought it was a bit dangerous for her to be in the same space in case they accidentally hit her.

We’d certainly be back again. There are a couple more F&B joints we’d like to check out. Hopefully the mall will have some parking promo next time, e.g. free lunchtime parking on weekdays or spend $30 and get 2 hours of free parking, and the like.
